Title: Y10 Selectronic
Post by: ben on 17 December, 2012, 04:26:27 PM
I acquired this smart little car from our esteemed chairman a couple of years ago and have finally got around to repairing the rear inner cills and attending to other minor issues as required to pass the MOT.

However I do not really have a use for it (since when was that considered relevant I hear you cry) and have other projects to concentrate on so I put her up for auction on ebay last month. She "sold" for the heady sum of £501 to a gentleman from France who seemed genuine enough but who subsequently changed his mind.

I intend to relist her in the new year but in the meantime would let her go for the same money if there is anybody smart enough in the club to grab a bargain.

She only has 33000 miles on the clock and drives beautifully. She has the 1108cc,fuel injected, version of the "fire" engine and starts instantly, hot or cold.

Contact me (Ben Courage) on
                                                   01454 322931

Address is under "Delta 1500 *" adviser in the magazine if you would like to pop around for a test drive.    *(Remember them?)

PS  You get a whole car with an MOT that you can drive around in for your money  It is not a toy and it is not a deposit on an Aurelia steering wheel!!!

This is a reminder to all the bargain-hunters out there that I am re-advertising my Y10 Selectronic and it should be in the March "Viva Lancia" and then back on e-bay if necessary after the Great Northern Weekend which I propose attending in it. She now has 6months tax so the price has gone up. Also Spring is coming!!

             NOTE
THIS IS A REAL LMC AD AND NOT ONE OF THE COUNTLESS REFERRALS THAT ARE FILLING UP THIS SECTION OF THE FORUM.

Ben

Sorry that I've not been in touch but purchase is currently vetoed by Mrs. P and the difficulty of getting to Bristol. If you bring the car to GNW we may be able to win her over? ?

Having both member adverts and referrals is good - but I'd like to see them split.  Do the referals belong in "general chat" or here in the "for sale"?

I have no problem either in a sub-section of the "Cars for Sale" or in each models section

Neil, so you are on the naughty step with Frank !!!

I will say in your defence that the Y10 is a much under-rated brilliant little car that, given half a chance will plod on  forever. I have not driven a selectronic but the 4 Y10s that I had the pleasure of owning were quite remarkable little cars. Three of my offspring cut their teeth on them and I thoroughly enjoyed them, even on the 270ml trip from Essex to N Wales.

I am sure Mrs P will be easily won over given the opportunity to sample the delights of the little gem.

Best wishes from, an at last, sunny Essex.

                                     Andy

I also like to see the referrals but agree it would be a good plan to have them in a separate section within "Buy,Sell and Search"

It doesnt make much difference when browsing the forum via the"unread since last visit" link but would impruve matters for searching back for sales history, etc.

Whoever the lucky person is who buys ben's lovely little Y10 selectronic, if you do ever need the advise of the Selectronic workshop Manual, I have copy among my collection of Lancia Manuals etc.
