Title: Is the Flaminia range where the Aurelia range was in 1998, as regards values?
Post by: Parisien on 09 November, 2012, 10:31:23 PM
I have noted several posts over the last year bemoaning ..."If only I'd bought that B 20 coupe back then!"

Indeed a few posts also noted that prices had remained stagnant for over a decade.....then as soon as one or two owners sold their cars and sort of took their eyes off the market, values shot through the roof.

As the forums resident newbie...;)....I am sure more than one or two members have filed away values and dates of what actually happened the Aurelia range, can anyone or indeed anyone with a close eye on the market, now feel confident to say......this is the time to buy, or its ok for another while....views appreciated.

My analysis, a few years ago when I decided to buy my convertible, was that Lambdas, Aprilias, Aurelias and Evos had made their money for the time being and that the Flaminia range was going to be the next to start appreciating fast - and so it has proved. I was wrong about the B24s which have gone on rising and rising but the investment involved is now so large as to make it a bit academic for most of us.  I reckon that the Zagato Flaminias have pretty well made their money for the time being, the Touring models are rising nicely but the Pininfarina coupes look like a really good investment.  The berlina is interesting because, like all Lancia saloons, it's the best car of the range and it too is now moving up - in any case - think of the enjoyment not the money!

In light of the stratospheric prices reached for Aurelia Spyders in the USA in january...I wonder how high this will go on 9th March?
