There's a lot of noise on the wires about a B24 Convertible that sold at auction for $242,000 USD.
Not such a surprising price these days you say; so why the coverage in mainstream press?
Here's the answer;

The car has been off the road for more than 40 years and is untouched, supposedly. I'm not sure those bi-colour seats are original though: does anyone here know?
Here's coverage and a video:

Crazy times.

Have to say it does look lovely and completely straight in those CNN pictures. Seats look good too! It will be a lovely thing when it's cleaned-up and prepared for use - much nicer than a fully restored one to my way of thinking, so perhaps the price does make sense.

Sad that it should appear on CNNMoney. Wonder why they did not even give it a wash? Even so, it outshines anything else there. What a shame it is in the USA, I am sure it will be "restored" and spoiled.
