Title: Flaminia fire
Post by: Dave Gee on 25 June, 2012, 06:26:54 PM
One of my friends has unfortunately had a fire, (we think electrical) in his Flaminia convertible, resulting in the total loss of his car. He may write an article for Viva Lancia, going into more detail. He has asked me to dispose of his spares and I will be putting a list tomorrow in the spares section of this forum.

Yes I heard about that recently - happened 5 miles from my place, car with a very long term owner. Awful. I hear it all went up aft of the motor (bar the transaxle). By chance I saw the car a few weeks prior to the incident with some modern relays and other mods to bulkhead wiring.

Tragic indeed, always a shame when rare, highly desirable cars meet their end.

Are you thinking Clive the "up-dated" electrics had something to do with this?
