Title: V angle in the Appia motor Post by: GG on 03 May, 2012, 09:13:46 AM Does anyone have any reference from Lancia for what is the V angle in the Appia motor? I'm wondering if there is any hard documentation to support the 10º 14' often cited? A perusal of promotional literature, Owner's manuals and workshop manual haven't turned this up.
Thanks, Geoff Title: Re: V angle in the Appia motor Post by: GG on 07 September, 2012, 01:51:50 PM This question originally arose because of ongoing work on the De Virgilio book: he was involved in the layout work for the Appia motor (and its predecessors) and in his work, a different angle was found. Upon further review, it has become clearer how the 10º14' was derived, and thus the question is now moot.
It was a rather interesting process, to see how Lancia went from the 903 cc of the Ardea to the 1090 cc of the Appia. More later. |
