Yes it is a ballancer-shaft engine.Exhaust M/F and turbo at front,Inlet M/F at rear, looking from front with flywheel to right. Plus the base of the sump is angled to accomodate a forward lean of the installed engine. There is no ident plate on the engine. It has "cast in" numbers M801F120 7637874 on the front and V C 8 C 3 0 on the back of the block. I would be interested if anyone can tell me its likely origins.
