Title: Y10 interior, detail and engine photos
Post by: fensaddler on 28 July, 2010, 07:17:31 PM
I'm looking for any shots of Y10s which aren't general front, rear and side external views - so interior, dash, engine and other detail shots - either original archive and press or more current - can anyone oblige?  Its press, so of course, the usual caveat - pronto...

I have plenty of brochures and other Press material from when I had my Y10s. Any use?

Chris,

On the CD of images from the LMC Photo Library that I sent you there are two period press photos of Y10 – see LMC 126 and 127.

I seem to think that Will How and Brian Mills are looking after many more LMC photos including lots of the Y10 and other late cars.

Lee - looking for print quality electronic images, so we're unlikely to be able to get those from hard copy without fairly sophisticated scanning??

Colin - already gone to the archive disk, many thanks, and the engine shot already passed on.  I've contacted Will, but will also get in touch with Brian.

Thanks chaps!

I have various original press packs for Y10, including 4wd. Not electronic copies I know, but you are welcome to borrow what you need if that is any help.

Thanks chaps - what I'm particularly after are interior and engine shots, if anyone has?  Lee, would be useful either to scan or offer to AI the material you have, as its very much what they are looking for, providing we can get up to print quality.

What no Battery? looks very nice Dave, I once borrowed a white Fila from Richard Thorne, when  my first Dedra was in there for it's first service in my ownership, back in 1994, it was the first Y10 I'd ever driven and I was tremendously impressed, which not long after resulted in us buying Diane an early Y10 Fire.

Yes no battery ! this little car served us well, but now sadly off the road and replaced by our new 1997 Ypsilon lhd, There is no comparision between the two, the Ypsilon is much more refined and easier to drive, no choke, no power steering in the Y10. :-\

Is it off road for good, or just resting? Are you thinking of selling the Fila?

I am thinking of selling the Fila as no one wants to drive it now, the Ypsilon is a much more comfortable car, but I still like the quirkyness of the Y10 :)
