Title: Model plate on subframe
Post by: fay66 on 15 March, 2010, 02:02:35 AM
While doing a bit of work on "Fay" recently I spotted a plate riveted to the subframe just forward of the Aluminum support, I cleaned some of the gunge off it to find a Model number plate with Tipo 81810. and the Number 398 stamped on it.
Can't say I remember spotting it before, or one like it on my Rallye Coupe when I had it, a search in the handbook failed to reveal any reference to it, neither did a search of the workshop manual or the Tavola ???
Anyone know anything about it ???

Mines got a blue tag with model  number, part number, serial number etc on (as has the gearbox and rear axle).

I have certainly seen a blue tag on S2/3 cars though can't remember what it said

It's obviously been staring at me for years, but I just don't remember seeing it before :-[
