Probably my dyslexic fingers typing Fulvia instead of Flavia when I replied to his email :-[ I have edited the initial post and title to ensure it is correctly advertised. The type plate on the gearbox is tipo 820437.

In earlier less purist times it was quite common for these boxes to be used in Fulvias to give them longer legs. The final drive being 11/39, which works out to give more than 21 mph/ thousand revs. And I think the lower gears were higher too. Some swapping of parts like bell-housing, remote shift and flanges are necessary, but I think not too problematic. It’s this type of box fitted to my car and I like it!
