Title: HELP WITH CARBS. Post by: bill on 14 August, 2009, 06:33:17 PM Hello again, still working on the carbs.the question is regarding the accelerator pump discharge screw, when I remove the cover screws should I see a jet below and can you clean them?

Post by: ncundy on 14 August, 2009, 08:29:56 PM yes, they all unscrew. clean them in carb cleaner (or an ultrasonic tank if you have one), rinse and then blow through with compressed air. If you haven't got a compressor you can buy cans of compressed air from places like Halfords.

The carbs. had a lot of sediment in them. I have done one carb today next one tomorrow so I should have them back on the car by tomorrow afternoon, fingers crossed.
