Title: Mysterious engine oil leak Post by: davidwheeler on 27 August, 2008, 09:27:07 AM I was distressed by a substantial leak from the front of my newly built engine. I took off the radiator and found (eventually) that oil was being flung from the front but not the back of the crankshaft pulley. The oil was tracking along the crankshaft inside the pulley sleeve and has been successfully stopped by a fibre washer under the crankshaft pulley nut. Thus ended many days of puzzling!
