Hi everyone
               I have been asked to find out what kind of oil to use in my gearbox, any perticular brand and what grade, also im pretty sure but not positive that the gearbox and the transfer box share the same oil.  I have a 2.0 integrale, if any body can give me advice or even tell me what they use in theres would be a big help.  Once my car is back on the road I will be posting some pics and I would like to know your opinions of what i have done to my integrale.  here are a few pics of how it use to look before we tore the engine to pieces.

I use a full synthetic 75W90 gearbox oil currently Millers which is quite a bit cheaper than the well known names but it seems to work OK.  About £30 for 5 litres.

And its true that the gearbox, front differential and transfer box all share the same oil.  Put the same oil in the rear diff too.  One can will do both gearbox and rear diff.

When draining play a blowtorch all over the lower part of the casing for at least quarter of an hour before draining and tip the whole car over to the drain plug side by taking off the nearside wheel and jacking up the offside.  What you want is all the oil to come out in a rush so it drags as much debris with it.

Theres a magnet in the centre differential casing which is only accessible if that part of the casing is stripped down.

I use an ordinary Castrol 80/90 gear oil which in my opinion is moe than adequate. I have found with older vehicles a thin fully synthetic gear oil leaks from every joint whereas the stsndard gear oil stays in ::)
