Title: Lubrication service. What's special about Esso Chassis Grease H
Post by: FERGTS246 on 09 May, 2022, 02:05:34 PM
Hi, I'm just getting together a list gear oils for a service and under`Grease Fittings' in the handbook's list of Lub specifications, Esso Chassis Grease H and Mobilgrease 2 are listed.
What is a typical ''Grease Fitting' on a Flaminia Touring and why can't I use a general purpose grease?
Thanks in advance.
Chris

I use a general/bearing grease for the steering idler/throttle system/doors/suspension and rear bearings, and a lithium based grease for the rear outer spider joints (under the rear hubcaps).
