The photo to show that is from the year I did the VSCC Pom. I was pictured in Motor Sport and its on its door handles but with lots and lots of droop travel on the inside wheels. That engine went in the car in the 1970s when Stuart Gross started racing. Might have come from Harry. J&K know a little more, but I can't remember the detail. It always felt too stiff on the road, but even on those tyres you can see nothing like stiff enough to race. As it was mostly a road car I regretted the cam shaft change, and that on A roads as much as pottering round Lewisham. It just wasn't happy in 4th at 50 and just wanted the boot in the whole time.
