Title: Bracket for the indicators' cancellator switch at base of steering column
Post by: FERGTS246 on 23 February, 2022, 07:46:13 PM
Hi, can I ask someone to measure the thickness (gauge) of steel of the bracket please.
I'm making one up and want it to be as original as possible.
Picture of it is attached.

Hi Chris, It’s fairly chunky, i would say 1.5mm, as it’s going to be sunny this weekend I may get my car out, if so i should be able to make a rough template, if you want.

Hi Julian, the thickness will be enough thanks, I got a template from another Flaminia owner.
I recently discovered there's a Touring convertible owner living in Richmond, but he keeps it in Devon so couldn't get me a measurement for a few months.
I met up with him a few months ago and chat Flaminias.

Plus, another being restored in Guildford, but probably won’t be on the road for a year or so.

You don't see one for 50 years, then 4 turn up at once!!
Do you have contact details of the owner, he may want to share his frustration with someone?
I've build up a good list of suppliers of new and old bits that might be useful to him.
