Title: FULVIA FINAL DRIVE SET
Post by: CHENG on 25 November, 2021, 09:05:44 AM
Hello, would anybody have a final drive set  ( both items ) for a 5 speed S2 Fulvia gearbox, in the following set , 9/43 or 9/41.

Many thanks for your help.

Best regards Ian Mcinnes.

Good morning again, I know that I have asked for the final drive parts only, however I would buy a complete gearbox if it was fitted with one of these lower final drives.

Many thanks.

Not sure those ratios were produced for the 5 speed?

Tim, many thanks for your reply, I doubt that any of the final drive ratios were ever on a standard road car, but there were numerous final drive ratios offered on 1600 cars, mainly for rallying ( 10 different sets ), and sometimes the sedan ( 818.610/612 ) had final drive sets of 9/41, 10/41 and even 10/43.
However it looks like I will just go to Italy and buy a new set, as i already have 2 gearboxes, a 1300 and 1600HF box.

The 1.6HF (Fanalone) had many options as did the 1.3HF - I think the 1.6HF was essentially a 4 speed box so used the same components. The S2 (including the 1600HF) had an integrated design 5 speed and there were subtle changes so  I do not  the a crown and pinion from essentially a 4 speed will fit the 5 speed box.

BTW those options were were special to order.

You probably know the final drive of a 1300 and 1600 gear boxes is the same 11/43.
