Title: Blanking plate for mechanical fuel pump on 2.5 litre 823.00 engine Post by: FERGTS246 on 20 November, 2021, 10:48:58 AM Hi, Does anyone know where I might get a blanking plate to cover the hole in the block that the mechanical fuel pump is bolted to please?
Or, if I make my own, can I use aluminium or should it be steel, and what guage would be most suitable. I have the mechanical pump so can take a template off that for the plate and the gaskets. I'm taking the pump off as it often gets in the way and I've an electric pump in place with a spare if that happens to fail. Many thanks. I looked on line for any fuel pump blanking plate and they were 10mm aluminium so I've bought a small slab on that to work with. Best Chris |
