I had problems with my Flaminia running badly for months and couldn't work out what the problem was. It was that iridium plugs are not compatible with the 123 distributor. I emailed the designer and he immediately came back with "Put your original plugs back in". Problem solved. Chris Title: Re: Warning. On reading the various comments it appears the Iridium ones can operate at lower voltages than copper/platinum and if recommended for a car, then not to use platinum or copper ones which makes me suspect that you need to have the ignition system tailored for iridium ones and to stick with the manuf suggested plugs unless you have modified the engine.
