Title: Flavia 815 Coupe interior mirror
Post by: bobhenry999 on 28 May, 2021, 02:47:49 PM
Hi all,

Does anyone have a Flavia 815 Coupe interior mirror that they would be happy to sell?

The reflective coating on the glass of mine has deteriorated and starting to look a bit tatty, so I would obviously only want one that is in good condition.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob
I had a similar problem with mine. The mirror assy can be taken apart quite easily although for the life of me I cannot remember how (not much help only encouragement sorry) and then it is a matter of getting someone to cut a new mirror using the old one as a template If you are lucky you might find a quality control sticker inside the assy from the date of manufacture of your car like I did.
Good luck
Colin

Any chance of a photo of the mirror you require?

Colin/Chris,

Thanks for the messages, and as you said Colin it was easy to take apart, so I’m going to get a glaziers to cut me a new glass once I can find one local to me.

Good luck with that! I'm struggling to persuade a glazier to cut some mirrored glass to repair some early Beta mirrors! Trouble is, it's 2mm glass and that's unobtanium these days. If you manage to find one who can help I might pass some work his way too!

Have you considered having the existing one resilvered?

Guy,

I hadn’t thought of that, but it looks like I might be lucky in getting one from Colin at the consortium. Fingers crossed that he can dig one out along with a window winder handle that I also need.
