Title: New sub-Ypsilon Lancia
Post by: lee69 on 05 May, 2008, 11:11:19 AM
On Italiaspeed today, one of the spin-offs from the recent takeover of the Zastava factory in Serbia by Fiat, are rumours of a Lancia-badged, upmarket version of Fiat's planned A segment car, the Topolino, which itself is based on a shortened Panda floorpan.  A new Ardea?

Any thoughts on this from anyone?  Maybe it's worth resurrecting the Autobianchi brand?

Could there be a connection with the small MiTu Alfa

It's a different platform to the MiTo Peter, being a smaller, smart city car competitor.  It will also also be the first Serbian-built Lancia.

Needed to come out sooner, took a lot of soul searching for me to buy a new Fiat 500 (basic 1.2 Pop) as my work runabout having decided bringing yet another Ypsi over from Holland was too much

If this works out, then guess I've found the 500's replacement already
