Title: Flaminia
Post by: Shandilya on 16 November, 2020, 05:59:03 PM
I have a Flaminia gt it was 2.5 but has had a 2.8 single carb engine put into it I brought it 5 years ago, when I got it there was smell of petrol in the cabin since I purchased it a lot of work has been done a complete engine rebuild had to be done and other various now expensive stuff. But I haven't  managed to get the smell of the petrol sorted and now it is really proving to be a nuisance and putting me off the driving experience of my lovely Flaminia, I have recently brought Castrol classic valve master to add to fuel as alot points to the fuel that one buys these days. Any one have suggestions of what I can do to get rid of the smell please

Has the fuel line been checked all the way along including the return if there is one? Sounds like a small leak. Modern fuel can quickly degrade any flexible hose if it isn't exactly the right spec.
