There's something a bit odd about that advert; the seller claims to be in West Sussex, but the landline telephone number quoted is a Nottinghamshire number!

Wasn't it written up in the magazine?  Have read the long story somewhere...

Half a memory it was Christo's before the rally rep makeover.

I was brought up to believe that it is bad form to drive a car on the road with racing/rally numbers on it. The MSA has a regulation to say that they do not allow it and the VSCC certainly take the reg seriously. Sadly, one now encounters slowly driven cars in large numbers who seem to be on what used to be called a Treasure Hunt, but the cars carry numbers and pretend rally plates. Two summers ago, we were falling over them all the way from Chichester to Winchester. They slowed us down although some were potentially very rapid cars. Nevertheless, it does appear to be a very nice Appia.
