Title: My 1974 RHD 1.3S S3
Post by: Giota on 18 January, 2020, 10:58:11 AM
Hello everyone
Not a new member but first post on here.
I have had my Fulvia for 10 years now and its time to treat it to some TLC
I would like to add electronic ignition.
I have a spare pair of carburetors from another S3 that i would like to have rebuilt and put on my car and have it tuned on a rolling road.
I would like recommendations on who to use and the best way to go about things.

Welcome to the forum!

Personally I would not recommend the Solexs of a late Fulvia (3) as they are terrible carbs trying to do emission control - far better to get an earlier set or a pair of dellortos 35 DHLB (although I personally like the solex for the Fulvia....).

Re electronic ignition I run Luminition but on a 1600 so the kit is different as it is a different distributor. Most folk change the Fulvia distributor for a 123 type and are very happy with the results. You may need to change the coil too (I dont with luminition).

I second Lumenition and Dellortos. Lumenition should have a suitable kit available. Brian Hilton swears by Dellortos on his Berlina.
