I am sure some of us on here must be familiar with this article?

I think I really like the deep burgundy red the car is painted in. Does anyone know if this was an original colour? I remember seeing a few Zagatos in this colour in my old C&C magazines in the early 90s. I am considering changing my car from its "post-box red" to this colour.

Does anyone know if there is a code for this?

And what sort of interior colour (other than black) would work with this red?

Hard to tell, even to tell if it is a solid or (Zagato) subtle metallic (seems that to me from the photos).

A lot of work on colours has been done - see http://blog.lanciainfo.com/?tag=color and also Paul Mayo. There are some reds that could be close.

Of course Zagato had a few of own colours used across the lancia range.

It is a lovely red!

I do like the Zagato red in the photograph. I wonder if I can find a way of reaching out to the owner to ask what it is, that he has used.

With that burgundy exterior colour, I would choose Tobacco as in this Corvette.
A nice period and practical colour.

The colour Rosso Arcoveggio is mentioned in the article.

Below is an image of a Lancia colour card with this colour on to support this is an original colour.

Seat colour? Below is a pic of a Flaminia Supersport Zagato in Rosso Arcoveggio with tan seats. Personally these look a bit light to me so veering to something a little darker as Flamfan has suggested I think would look good!

I wonder though, the car in the article seems to have a bit of a metallic glint to it. I wonder if that's clever photographs or a modern finish/bit of enhancing the original colour? The tan seats in your picture are nice, but I think the coffee colour in FlamFans would make for a lovely combination.

Is there anyone here who has a car in Rosso Arcoveggio? I would love to see the colour in the flesh. So hard to tell what it right from photographs.

I own a FujiFilm X-T series camera and the photos you posted look like what happens when I use the 'Dynamic Tone' filter aka High Dynamic Range (HDR).
This is great for dramatic photos but no so good for a case like yours where you want a true representation of colours!

You can look at standard photos e.g. click on the main photo on this page ... https://www.reezocar.com/en/voiture-occasion/lancia-flaminia-RZCCSTFR74036.html (https://www.reezocar.com/en/voiture-occasion/lancia-flaminia-RZCCSTFR74036.html) ... and then move through the different pics. But even here, depending on the lighting, the red can look very different.

I agree with you that seeing the colour in the flesh would be the best option and hopefully someone can oblige.

It's a very different colour in "real life" (as far as I can tell from those pictures anyway!). What I am hoping to do is the get the HDR style paint work accurately reflected. It may not be possible and not sure if it's an original hue at all. That being said, the car is for me to enjoy personally, so I might go slightly left field if I need to. Rosso Cino (chinese red) look lovely on some Ferraris, so I will look into that as well.

I guess folk will generally fall into one of two camps: either wanting total originality to a period colour for their vehicle ... or wanting a colour that they simply just like!
Given the cost of a full body respray and that you only live once I'll put my hand up and admit I fall into the latter camp ... with the caveat that the colour has to be in keeping with the car in question (along the lines of what Singer does with its Porsche creations).

Perhaps interestingly a lot of bodyshops these days use a spectrometer i.e. they'll scan a body section and a formula will be output so as to get a perfect paint match. Presumably they could  take a scan of any item to get that mix formula (even a photo?). Worth an ask if you're set on that hue.
