Question: Does anyone think they know the best way to remove the old glue ? You could try white spirit, petrol and cellulose thinners in that order. The first two shouldn't affect paint. The third should be tried carefully as too much will probably remove paint that you would rather have left.

One thing I have found out is that you must use a heat resistant glue on the replacement materials. Such as that used for head linings and of course boot linings. Both of which get very hot standing in the sunshine. I think Woolies sell the relevant item. I left it parked for a couple of days and came back to find it had seat covers and no roof lining! ;D
