But as the picture of it below shows (from Popular Mechanics, 1932), the third level was only a small section at the rear of the bus. I am sure I read somewhere that the UK could have double decker trains to relieve congestion but there are only < 20 bridges needing modification which would be a nightmare from the planning and disruption point of view. So it won't go ahead.
