We would like to invite your club to join in the celebrations for the 113th birthday of Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, the oldest motorsport venue in the world on 11th and 12th August 2018. Luckily this birthday falls on a race weekend when the fastest single seaters in the UK will be in town for a round of the British Hill Climb Championship - the next time this will happen won’t be until 2029! We’re also pleased to announce that the Panasonic Jaguar Racing Formula E car will make its competitive UK debut, with a celebration of old and new technology as the car that took the Best Time of Day at Shelsley Walsh back in 1905 will be on display. A packed weekend will see the iconic cars involved in Shelsley’s 113 year history on display, along with previous record holding drivers regaling their tales of conquering the hill. New for this year is a special ‘Octane Magazine Young Timer Concours’ on Sunday 12th for 1985 cars onwards, focussing on homologation specials, with prizes from MHD watches and AutoGlym car care products. There will be a fun Saturday evening in the Courtyard with themed bars and food, music and a chance to unwind after the racing and we also have a special after 3pm ticket on the Saturday for just £5. Children aren’t left out with activities including face painting, a circus skills workshop, a balloon artist and there’s even a Teddy Bear’s picnic to keep them entertained.
