Title: Y10 rear axle rust. Post by: frankxhv773t on 28 September, 2015, 09:36:10 AM Following on from "Mystery Fitment" I have repaired the bump stop turrets inside the rear springs on my Y10. The turret is a separate pressing welded into the lower spring cup. Mine having rusted away all around the base on both sides I was thinking of a second hand rear omega beam but got a grip, decided to stop being a wimp and have ago at making something. The result isn't pretty but it does seem to be strong. (I have a long way to go before I reach Parry Perfection in my welding ability.)

The front wing was removed and I suggested the welding on the inner wing showed a badly botched previous repair but Martin told me that was the standard original welding.
