Title: Intake Manifold and Carburettor Gaskets
Post by: Beckerman67 on 24 July, 2023, 06:56:41 AM
Just about to refit the intake manifold, the carbs mounting plate and the carbs.
My question regards the gasket seals as shown in the attached diagram.
I seem to remember that a smear of copper silicone is recommended as well as new gaskets but I can't remember if this applies to all the gaskets?
I'm guessing the mounting plate to the intake manifold?
 Can someone please advise.
 Thanks in advance.

I generally grease all the intake gaskets as I think it helps them seal better and makes the carbs easier to remove without damaging the gaskets.

That is what I advise on 1600 set up but normally wellseal works on 1300 as there is more gasket around the port area.
