I would like to counter the claim that St Christopher is a "debunked mythical saint". St Christopher still is a recognised saint in many Christian traditions, both orthodox and protestant. It is the medieval popular claims about his life and exploits which are now considered mythical. St Christopher himself remains recognised as a patron saint of "athletics, bachelors, transportation (drivers, sailors, etc.), traveling (especially for long journeys), surfing, storms, Brunswick, Saint Christopher's Island (Saint Kitts), Island Rab, Vilnius, epilepsy, gardeners, toothache". If one sets store by saintly intercession he remains fully efficacious. His protection though is unlikely to carry any weight in reducing your car insurance premiums.
