Post by: DavidHill on 12 May, 2023, 10:33:25 AM
I think my fan belt is slipping and needs replacing...does anyone have any information on what size it should be??

I used
Brammer Type Link Belt A Section 13mm Machinery Drive Belt Nut Link Belt from EBay but it is fiendishly difficult to manage.    No longer in stock from the particular supplier either.   I suggest you take your old belt into a Motor FActor and they will match it up for you.

I've got spare belts, I'll measure one later - and see if there's a reference

Couple of photos and refs for the belt on the Cabrio - I have a few in stock if required

many thanks Simon.

One other question....the guy rebuilding my dynamo told me that i may have fitted to big a battery, does anyone know what size of battery in Ah the Aprilia should have? (i fitted a 70Ah battery, which i think is way too big in retrospect....

Not sure I understand how one can have a 'too big' (electrically presumably)  battery?

But how do you get it between the axle beam and the engine pulley/starter handle socket?
