I think Steve means where have you heard from? Or are you just being very sharp... Delta, Ypsi and what - a coupe? Or a Musa replacement? I guess mid-2010 is fairly hopeful, just a shame the recession intervened at the wrong time, though I wonder whether the dealer network would have been ready. The Alfa dealers I've seen look in better shape now than they were, and Fiat's network is also looking far more robust, so all in all the delay may end up doing us a favour.

Look to China as a prime market for Fiat and sooner or later the Group will need to compete with BMW. Unlike BMW however they have sufficiently low emmission models in their range that they have the freedom to persue higher powered cars. Hello Lancia.

This thread gets more cryptic as it progresses. Is that a hint, Peter, that we might be looking at a Coupe or a larger car? The Ypsi, presumably is the Polish made model, or are we looking at something sub-Ypsi, in the 500 platform?

Sorry but not sure, but I think as there is already an extended wheel base Delta it would seem plausable Fiat plonk a powerful engine in the car and position Lancia as a cut price luxury Massa. And dont forget the powerboat connection with Martini.Worth looking at www.Lancia.it. Lots to work with there.

how great it would be if the rumour mill was actually correct!!
But if it were correct, the 3 models would most likely be Delta, new Ypsilon,& new Musa. Ypsilon & Musa are due to be replaced next year as far as i can recall.
An outside bet would be Delta, new Ypsilon & the much rumoured RWD sports car (think Elise!) that is due to have tie ups with Lotus, & will spawn Fiat, Abarth & Lancia versions!
I think Fiat are riding on such a positive wave at the moment, all good press, great sales figures, & shares that are quite literally going through the roof (as a share holder this makes me very happy!), they should put the re-introducton of Lancia into RWD back on the agenda! so there!

I think the two new models recently rumoured to be added to the facelifted 5 door only Ypsi, facelifted Musa and new Delta, are the Serbian built Lancia version of the new Fiat Topolino (rear engine microcar) and the Deltina, which will fill the gap between Ypsi and Delta. We can but hope for something bigger!

Will they fit the new three cylinder engine? Unique with its two outer diesel fuelled pots designed for maximum economy while the central petrol cylinder will only come in above 3,000 when torque gives way to cruise. On test the overrun charging system allowed an average fuel consumption of 87mpg while keeping soot levels below 55per kilometer. A Delta in Group N form has been tested with a pair of these engines, one at each end and coupled to a belt driven variable Daf transmission.

The more I think about my stupid previous post the more it sounds plausable. Must be the wine.
